MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL DIGESTION. Drawing form the blackboard.
Here you have what I explained in class. I won't ask you to explain the process in detail for each nutrient in this test but I will ask you for the sent exam. You have to have clear what processes (chemical or mechanical) occur in each section of the digestive tract.

CONTENTS TO STUDY FOR THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM TEST
These are the contents you have to study for the short test we will do next week. It will count 15% of your final mark. (The exam about unit 1 is 40%, project is 40%, this test plus daily work is 20%).
- Photocopy with parts of digestive tract, glands and its functions.
- Drawing with the parts of digestive tract and glands (anatomy).
- Diseases related with digestive tract (includes the ones in the activity "let's analyse").
- Identify mechanical digestion, chemical digestion and absortion in each part of digestive tract.
- Definitions in the vocabulary organiser.
- Pages 34 to 38 in te text book.
We will do an exam about the whole unit 2 (digestive and respiratoy system) with some of these contents and the rest of the contents in the unit.
Come on! Last effort!

Homework for next Monday 3ºB
For those people that went on a hike in 3ºB, you will have to do the following homework for next Monday:
-Draw the digestive system in you r notebook and label its parts (use the drawing on page 34).
- Define the following words: dentine, pulp, appendix, colon, cardiac sphyncter, pyloric sphyncter. remember to start the definition with a subject "it is a part of... (the tooth..,the small intestine, etc.) or it is a valve... If you have doubts look for the deffinition in an English dictionary on line (www.wordreference.com, www.merriamwebster.com)
